The half day kayak and hike to the Secret Waterfall was spectacular. Our tour guide Zach was knowledgeable in the islands history as well as the plants and trees we encountered along our route (although his dad jokes were painful :)). The hike was a bit strenuous but all in all not too bad. Zach made sure we moved at a pace that allowed us plenty of time to enjoy the breathtaking waterfall while not risking injury due to slippery rocks along the path. BE SURE TO WEAR THE PROPER FOOTWEAR. A great day and well worth the cost and energy expended. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time with our tour guide Sierra. If you enjoy kayaking, hiking, and nature, this is a must-do activity during your stay at Kauai. The small lunch at the waterfall was pleasing. They will also provide dry bags and water. Do not bring spray on sunscreen as the chemicals have been a major cause of damage to the corals, wear lotion-based sunscreen to minimize the impact on this fragile environment.

Kayak Zak was a marvelous guide and is a fledgling stand up comic! I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon paddling the river, hiking through the jungle and the opportunity to swim beneath the waterfall. Wear waterproof hiking shoes/sandals and a swimsuit. If unaccustomed to kayaking consider that it will be a strenuous upper body workout. The hike is relatively flat, but you will be crossing shallow streams. Beware of slippery rocks. A walking stick is very helpful.
