The kayak tour to Secret Falls was an adventure. The tour began with a safety briefing regarding kayaking and hiking. The briefing was geared to those with little to no outdoor experience. About an hour after the tour was scheduled to begin, we were on the river. The kayak trip up the river was crowded with other kayak groups but we were still able to easily navigate the river. After about an hour, we arrived at the trailhead. Our hike was slow moving but we eventually reached the falls. Initially, the falls were very busy but the crowds cleared and when it was time to leave, we were the only group there. The falls were beautiful and the water provided a refreshing swim. The river was much quieter on our trip back.
Overall, I would recommend this tour only if you enjoy a tour group setting and enjoy learning about the history of the area. If we were to redo this outing, we would rent our own kayaks and go on our own.
