Wailua River State Park

Paddle the majestic Wailua River for 2 miles each way (4 miles total round trip), original home of the first Hawaiians, who paddled 1500 miles from the Marquesas Islands to Kaua`i almost 1500 years ago. Hear the legends and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai`s most sacred area.

Secret Falls (Uluwehi Falls)

After hiking 1 1/4 miles through the rain forest our guides will take clients to Secret Falls also known as Uluwehi Falls. This beautiful waterfall cascades 110 feet into a refreshing swimming hole, where they can go for a dip and enjoy a terrific lunch! You will then hike 1 1/4 miles back to your kayak (2 1/2 miles of hiking round trip) Bring Closed Toed Shoes / Reef shoes / Teeva Style Sandals

We did the same tour 22 years ago and it was amazing! 22 years later, it was still great and memorable!! The only difference was the fact there were a lot more people kayaking on the river and at the falls, but it’s understandable. Our guide was wonderful! Even though she is only 18 years old, she conducted the tour with a lot of professionalism and knowledge. I really like to listen to her talks about the plants and berries. Highly recommended!

Thomas was our tour guide and he was great! We’re a bunch of local kids from Oahu playing tourist in Kauai and we had a great experience. The hiking was a breeze and the kayak was an arm workout. But all good fun. My favorite was the swim at the end very refreshing and felt great after a good kayak/hike. I would recommend Thomas he was knowledgeable and kept up conversation with us local kids. Thank you for a great experience.

Our guide Zack was very knowledgeable and patient. He allowed plenty of time for my 9- and 11-year-olds to catch up on the somewhat moderate hike. He provided walking sticks (VERY helpful) as well as waterproof packs. You WILL get wet as you cross the river, and don’t bother bringing towels—it’s just extra weight and you’ll dry quickly.
