Wailua River State Park

Paddle the majestic Wailua River for 2 miles each way (4 miles total round trip), original home of the first Hawaiians, who paddled 1500 miles from the Marquesas Islands to Kaua`i almost 1500 years ago. Hear the legends and learn about the flora and fauna of Kauai`s most sacred area.

Secret Falls (Uluwehi Falls)

After hiking 1 1/4 miles through the rain forest our guides will take clients to Secret Falls also known as Uluwehi Falls. This beautiful waterfall cascades 110 feet into a refreshing swimming hole, where they can go for a dip and enjoy a terrific lunch! You will then hike 1 1/4 miles back to your kayak (2 1/2 miles of hiking round trip) Bring Closed Toed Shoes / Reef shoes / Teeva Style Sandals

My husband and I signed up for the early departure…700am. We’re generally awake early anyway so why not? Zack was our guide. Great guy, very personable and an excellent guide. Let me start by saying I am not an experienced kayaker so was a bit uneasy about the distance we had to go. It took me a bit to get the hang of it, but Zack was a great instructor. Thought my husband was going to kill me though… he’s not as patient. Haha! Two miles down the river and then a hike through the forest trails, crossing a few streams to the waterfall. Majestic!!! Totally worth it! Not a bad hike at all.. a few short steeper areas. Just wear proper footwear as instructed. Turkey sandwiches and fresh pineapple were welcomed by all at the falls. Nice little break before returning—-back same way we entered. Zack made the hike entertaining with lots of ‘dad jokes’! Highly recommend. Just be prepared to kayak and hike!

Allen from Cincinnati, was an excellent tour guide. He pointed out plants, trees and shared Hawaiian stories with humor. I appreciate that he was all about safety too. Had a blast! Hands down one of the best things we’ve done in Kauai.

Great experience. Wonderful way to see beautiful Kauai. Katie was fun and knowledgable. Kayaking, hiking, incredible waterfall.
