This trip includes Class II-IV whitewater and requires no previous rafting experience. The Shoshone Class III-IV rapids offer the whitewater enthusiast a two-mile stretch of exciting but not intimidating rapids. A guide favorite with interesting geology, gorgeous scenery, and some fun whitewater! Depending on weather and water levels, there are also opportunities to take a dip and swim!

We signed up for the 1st day of the season 2024 on a 1/2 day River Raft down the Shoshone section of the Colorado River. Moose was our guide and t was a cool, but wonderfully sunny day. He was very proficient and knowledgeable in navigating our craft though the rapids as well as being funny and interactive!! All-in-All the experience was wonderful! I only wish we had more time to spend in this area of Colorado so we could sign up for more of their many sporting options available. Thank YOU Glenwood Adventure Company --- It was Great!!

When you are close to the Colorado River, you should do a white water rafting trip, right? But, what if you have no experience, have nervousness about the trip, or have children with you- that complicates things! Our guide Nate helped to prepare everyone for a fun and safe trip. I especially admired the way he spoke to one of the kids on the trip offering encouragement and reassuring words, "I believe in you. I know you can do this." As an adult, I told him of my anxiousness about the trip. He smiled and tightened up my life jacket and then kindly gave me a seat in front of him on the boat. We had plenty of fun and games as we traversed over mild rapids and great conversation floating down the gentler parts of the river. It was a great experience overall. Our boat had ages 7-50 including teens. Everyone had fun! *Paddle together like they tell you. Sunscreen! Protect your phone. Bring water. Oh, and don't forget to tip your guide! :> Thanks, Nate! We loved it!

We just booked our second reservation with Glenwood Adventure Company. Our last endeavor with the Adventure Company was a complete blast on the River, we all got a chance to paddle the rapids and even sat in the ancient Indian hot springs. We could not have asked for a better guide than Olivia, she was great with our two twin 10yr olds. We were amazed by the beauty of The Colorado River and cannot wait to hit the rapids again.
