Unfortunately, the city of Tucson has eroded into an ever increasing haven for street people and aggressive panhandlers. A much safer and actually visually appealing option is renting a bike and riding the loop. If you want to see some of the historic sites in and around downtown the best option is to do it in a group with a guide.

Well, there are somethings to unpack in this review. 1. "If you want to see some of the historic sites in and around downtown the best option is to do it in a group with a guide." - I agree. Thanks! 2. Homeless - While there are indeed homeless people in Tucson, they are unfortunately everywhere in the USA. Tucson actually has about half the national average on a per capita basis, based on the nationwide count in January. And as far as the aggressive part goes, I strongly disagree. Everyone has different experiences, but I've never witnessed aggressive panhandling here, not once. It's usually just somebody chilling at the side of the road. Heck, I've seen homeless dudes in front of the co-op watch customers' dogs for free when they go inside to shop. I should have stopped at the Garden of Gethsmane on your tour. Sometimes I do. It is a sculpture garden made by a WWI homeless veteran who was repaying his debt to God. Homelessness is a complicated issue, lots of mental health stuff, but they are far more likely to be victims of crimes than commit them. 3. Renting a bike and riding on the Loop is indeed nice. I don't think it's more scenic necessarily than my tour route, and it certainly has less variety and no historical sites. It is an awesome resource though. That's why my tour includes a section of the Loop. 4. "Underwhelming and overpriced." I'm bummed you felt that way. Nothing I can do about the underwhelmed part. But I definitely can do something about the overpriced sentiment. If you can find a similar type of bike tour (11 miles, 2 to 2.5 hours, max 8 riders, local bakery included, a safety oriented guide that knows tons about the city) for less than what I offer on my website (tucsonbiketours), then I'd be happy to refund the difference. I always want to provided a fair value . . . cause I'm rather frugal myself! Thanks for opportunity to write . . . usually it's just a quick "thanks for the review!"

I went to Tuscon for a girls' weekend, we stayed out in Green Valley and getting to Houston for this tour of the city was easy. On the ride, we saw highlights of the various neighborhoods, local and historical entertainment venues, and art/shopping areas. My favorite part of the trip was the ride through the University of Arizona campus and seeing the unique architecture of the city. The Rattlesnake Bridge is kind of cool! Our guide, Jimmy, was well prepared with historical photos and commentary which made the tour very interesting. (I'm kind of analytical.) We wish we would have taken pictures so do stop and take the time to do that, if you want. All the logistics were taken care of: Text was sent day off giving details where to park for free Water and helmet were provided Jimmy was well "marked" as a tour guide and we felt completely safe on the roads

Thanks for the detailed review! Thanks for the photo reminder. People can definitely take time for photos so I just need to remind folks of that.

Jimmy is excellent, easy touring, great little stories about the history of the area. Might get warm during the summer months.

Incorrect. It is not warm during the summer months. It is very hot. That is why I get out of dodge for the summer!
