Обзор
We are the Original and top rated La Jolla walking tour. Learn the rich history of La Jolla. Uncover hidden gems and “Easter Eggs”. Score tailored dining and activity advice.

Sea Lions, philanthropists, murderers, fault lines, and awe-inspiring women — we have it all. Our most enthusiastic reviews are from locals, and we guarantee you’ll learn at least 5 new things, even if you grew up here.

All this is punctuated with numerous historic images of the early days.

We cover approximately 3 leisurely miles and walk a total of about 40 stairs (down). We traverse the heart of the village, and the highlights of the coast. There are some hills so if you have concerns or seek more detail feel free to contact us.

The standard tour is neither wheelchair nor stroller accessible, but we can EASILY design a custom tour tailored to your interests and abilities.

We love to present our little seaside hamlet.

I've known Chas. for many, many years, and finally visited him in his home of La Jolla. It's very clear that he LOVES this place, and loves to share it with others. Apparently, they love him right back, judging from the people on the street who greet "the many with the yellow belt". The tour is entertaining, educational and completely tailored to your abilities. You absolutely won't be disappointed.

La Jolla has such a fascinating history behind its quaint and picturesque facade! You could visit dozens of times and NEVER know the who or what or why. Chaz Dye was a FANTASTIC Historical Tour Guide. His knowledge of La Jolla, past and present, was astounding. He brought along photos from the late 1800s and early 1900s, showing how things "used to be," which added a wonderful intimacy to the information he shared. The pace and the distance of the walk was mild and very "do-able" for this almost 70 year old, slightly out of shape gal, but I have no doubt he could go faster for a more fit group. While Chaz wasn't a "laugh a minute, rollicking funny" kind of tour guide, his sense of humor kept the tone light, and his love and appreciation for La Jolla and the people (mostly women! it turns out) who made this village what it is today, shined through every minute, as we wandered through this beautiful, iconic Californian Coastal town. I loved the smiles of the locals as they greeted him when we crossed paths. One can see that his community appreciates him and what he does.
