I went on the tour with my family and I was somewhat disappointed! The tour guide, he was great, he was funny and knew lots of info which I did love. But..... the driver. We got stopped for a good 15 min by an officer because he was in a wrong neighborhood, he drove so fast through the mountain, I was nervous the entire time! I dont think he realizes what it feels like in the backseat! I got so sick, which I never do. I'm sad it was alot of houses of he or she USE to live there...

Dear Katie, I'm glad you enjoyed your tour guide. On your tour, the guide took you to that neighborhood because of a special request by one of the guests, which we try to accommodate. While we are legally allowed to enter all public neighborhoods, occasionally we will get stopped to discourage our vans from visiting certain ones. We use headsets on our tours to eliminate speaker noise, and comply with all laws, while fulfilling our guests' requests to see specific celebrity homes. Riding in an open air van with the wind in your hair can be exhilarating! But it can also feel very fast, especially on the curvy Mulholland Dr. Of course, we're sorry you had some sickness. When a guest informs us of their potential to get motion sickness, we usually recommend sitting in the front of the van. Did you tell your driver? We cover about 25 miles on our tour through Hollywood, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills. It is inevitable that we will pass houses that "used to" be owned by a celebrity. Fans are generally happy to see a former house if it's their favorite and we don't want them to miss it by not pointing it out. And of course, the classics, like Lucille Ball and Jimmy Stewart, will forever be their homes. We hope the rest of your trip was great! Kind Regards, Tom

This was a last minute tour because our scheduled tour had to cancel. Our guide was knowledgeable, intelligent, and funny. He asked questions to the small group to personalize the tour. It was the highlight of my daughter’s time in LA.

There are so many tour offerings, it is hard to know what to pick. I chose this one for the trip advisor ratings. This is not a bad tour company, and if you really want to take a tour, do this one. But, you could get by without one. Because the homes are so hidden anyway, you don’t really see anything. Things are gated, and covered by bushes. They are celebrities, so if you think about it, what are you going to see? But this isn’t a dig at this tour operator. They were nice, funny, and very accommodating.

Dear ryanbeckyj, Thank you for your review! Yes, many houses are behind gates and trees, but our tour guides know which homes have the best views and will try to focus on those. Often times, guests will request specific celebrities, and although the guides will let them know that they have limited views and can take away from seeing other homes, they will accommodate requests. They do try to inform the guests though. Still, you'd be surprised how many people want to sit outside Taylor Swifts 8-foot tall walls and look at a corner of her roof! The tour does consist of many celebrity homes but also 50+ historical sites, landmarks and filming locations. One thing you can't get just driving around, is the narration of the history and happenings in Hollywood by our expert tour guides. Most have been giving tours for over 10 years. Many have worked in the industry as writers, performers and actors, as well as being tour guides at major parks and studios. One is an author who has written five books detailing the history of Hollywood studios. Most find our tour guides' wealth of knowledge a huge value, and not having to drive yourself around Los Angeles to see everything an big time and stress savings. Thanks again for your review.
