Climb into the saddle and see a new side of Hawaii

Enjoy a relaxing horseback ride through one of Oahu’s hidden treasures—the Hawaiian countryside of Gunstock Ranch. You and your horse will travel through shady forest trails and trek across open pastures, spotting grazing cattle, soaring island birds, and maybe even a family of wild pigs.

The grand finale of the tour is the lookout over the stunning North Shore coastline and the quiet town of Laie, nestled on the edge of the crystal-clear ocean. It’s a great spot for photos and a moment of relaxation in one of the most beautiful places around. Plus, the whole ride will be intimate, with small group sizes, so you can experience an authentic paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) adventure.

CHECK-IN TIME: Check in is 45 minutes prior to the start time of tour. A safety demo is given 15 minutes prior to the tour, if you miss the safety demo you will have missed your tour
A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
Minimum age is 7 years
All passenger weights must be advised at time of booking. 235lbs/106kg weight limit
Long pants and covered shoes are recommended; bring a light jacket if the weather is cold
We ride rain or shine. If canceled due to unsafe weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
Phones or small cameras are allowed.
No pregnant or intoxicated riders will be allowed to ride.

My family enjoyed a lovely ride over the holidays with guides Kali and AJ. They both did a great job making us feel comfortable, safe and entertained! They were friendly, talkative and fun. They chatted with us throughout the ride and pointed out various things. My 8 and 11 year old sons had a great time. The horses were well-behaved and responsive. We would definitely recommend taking a ride out at Gunstock!

My son and I arrived at the ranch excited to try a horseback tour. We were not disappointed. Kenzie was amazing as our guide and we had an incredible time. Our horses were fun as well. My son had Libby and she was sweet and gentle. I had Auto whose full name is Miss Autograph and although she had to be prodded a couple of times I loved that she lived up to her name. Kenzie made sure she answered all our questions and showed us all the sites. We would definitely sign up again.

We had an exceptional morning! We booked a 1-1/2 hour trail ride with Lorrie Ann and Megan and enjoyed every minute of it. The horses are healthy and well cared for, the ranch is breathtaking and the guides are full of fun conversation. We had 8 riders with varying degrees of experience so that is always a bit of a challenge but it was no big deal here. Everyone was very comfortable and we even learned a bit about the ranch itself and its history. We even got a fun picture of everyone at the lookout point. Thank you for a most memorable experience.
