Not only will you have the opportunity to catch world class fish, but you will be able to do it in the intracoastal as you get a grand tour of urban Fort Lauderdale. Since the fishing takes place in the protected inshore waters you do not have to worry about getting seasick or having to travel far offshore in rough seas. All of our fishing is with light tackle, which makes the experience much more exciting and allows the angler to feel part of the action. Our main species we target are tarpon (sometimes over 100 pounds), snook, jack crevalle, barracuda, and sharks. We mainly fish with live bait, and most of the action is topwater giving the angler a visual experience. Anglers are welcome to hold the rod or use the rod holder until there is a bite depending on how much anglers want to participate.

I have fished in many places with many guides and I have to say Zach tops the list! He had us on fish with our second cast catching voraciously feeding Jacks on plugs then moved to a mullet trolling technique that yielded tarpon strikes, a couple of barracuda and more jacks to a dead bait drift that had us hook into a monster bull shark to fishing dock lights for jacks and snook to live lining a mullet again that had us hook into a monster tarpon that sadly made it into structure before we could guide him away. A truly epic evening with an amazingly knowledgeable guide who really cares about the quality of the experience. You could tell he was always thinking about the best opportunities to target the various species we were pursuing. Can’t wait for the next time we are out with him! I’d fly down from Boston just to get on Slip’s boat again!! Thanks Captain Zach

Zach is a professional and one hell of a fisherman. He had me on fish all day and laughing all the while with his jokes and personality. Great guy and one I will fish with every single time I am in Fort Lauderdale. On our last trip we landed 4x 100+ pound tarpon in only 90 minutes of fishing!!

Captain Zach is a hell of a guy. Got us onto at least 10 tarpon. And a number of other fish. Showed us all the good spots. And although we only landed a fish or two, the ones that took our lines were an amazing fight. 150+ lb tarpon is quite the formidable foe. Zach was friendly and very accommodating of my father and mother and showed us all the tricks of the trade and was an excellent resource in learning about saltwater fishing, in which my family and I are amateurs.
