Explore a remote national park less than an hour's drive from the lush resorts of greater Palm Springs. Wonder at the otherworldly plants and rock formations in a unique, and wild desert setting. THIS IS A RUGGED, 4x4 ONLY TRAIL. For those wanting a smoother experience and to see more of the park highlights please consider our Joshua Tree Driving/Van Tour. We don't recommend it for anyone with any back injuries, with any neck injuries, anyone that is pregnant or gets car sick easily. Age limit is 6 years old. This is group tour.
This activity has a 2 person requirement for the tour to run. If you are a single rider, please call first.
NOTICE: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2025 ALL JOSHUA TREE TOURS WILL REQUIRE GUESTS TO PAY THEIR OWN $15 ENTRY FEE UPON ENTERING THE PARK. ENTRY FEES WILL NO LONGER BE INCLUDED IN THE BIG WHEEL TOURS PRICING. PLEASE COME PREPARED WITH A FORM OF PAYMENT (CREDIT CARD) TO ACCOMMODATE THIS NEW POLICY. THANK YOU!

What a great experience. We loved the combination of going through Joshua Tree Park on the main park roads and then going off road through river beds. The views were outstanding and our guide Jeff was knowledgeable, fun and went out of his way to make sure we had a great day.

When I first looked at this tour I was hoping to be picked up by the Joshua Tree Welcome center. The tour actually starts out in Palm Desert and enters through the South entrance. I was told it’s probably not the best tour for a first time visit to Joshua Tree since it was a pretty rough 4 wheeling ride which only made me want to do it more. Isabella picked us up in Palm Desert. We went off roading four wheeling feeling each and every bump and rock. What an awesome way to see areas we would never have driven through ourselves. Isabella was informative, friendly and accommodating. She’s a four wheeling warrior! There were a few times I was wondering if we’d get thru. Isabella was calm and got us through those areas. We did go by Skull Rock and Cholla Garden. We were thrilled to have passed by as it left us more time to explore other areas on our own. A wonderful tour to see other areas of Joshua Tree watching how the fauna changes thru the different elevations.

Went off road thru South Gate into Joshua Tree. A great experience. Jeff was an awesome guide and driver. Really interesting facts and stories to go with fantastic views and scenery. Highly recommend!!
