Экскурсия по берегу Кауаи: путешествие в каньон Ваймеа

Обзор
In stark contrast to Kauai’s lushness is Waimea Canyon State Park. Over thousands of years earthquakes and erosion have created dramatic variation in the landscape. Waimea Canyon, “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific”, is the showpiece of the tour and offers one of the best views of the western coast of the island.

The experience to the canyon was breathtaking. We stopped off at a blowhole that was great. The canyon had so many colors, and we were able to take amazing pictures. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the attractions we passed along the way.

Waimea Canyon is beautiful. Definitely worth the trip. Leone was a great tour guide. (This tour was done by Roberts Hawaii.) We were on Norwegian's Pride of America and they pick you up at the cruise port. In addition to Waimea Canyon, you have a 15 min stop at the Blowhole on your way. Leone gave plenty of Hawaiian history and information about the area while we traveled to Waimea Canyon. It is a lot of time on the bus so be prepared for that. It is 5 hours in total. Apparently there is an additional tour to Fern Grotto that you can add on to this tour extending it another 3+ hours. That includes a river cruise.

Waimea Canyon is the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. It is indeed beautiful and often shown in tropical movies. Our bus driver/tour guide was amazing - so knowledgeable about the Canyon and a great driver on the road with lots of curves. She had a great sense of humor and pride in her culture, her state, and this canyon that she shared with us.
