The Space Centre was great; however, the tour company left a lot to be desired. We were crammed into a poky little van, and the driver, while pleasant, was not very informative or well educated - got several of her facts wrong & just nattered about nothing instead of talking about the surroundings on the trip. Her driving made for an uncomfortable ride, too. Do the Space Centre though - interactive and great for all ages and stages.

We took the Ultimate option with Lunch with Astronaut option. It was mid-Sept and off season, in spite of visiting on a Saturday it was not very busy at all. The lunch was outstanding because of the frank comments made by our astronaut who was quite critical of NASA administration. The Kennedy Space Center is a very good destination, the exhibits are excellent. The Dolphin Tour company hosts the bus trip and this was of a very low standard. Driver was also the commentator and she was incorrect about many things. Very unprofessional and so slow witted, she drove us nuts. We visited Astronaut Hall of Fame building before Kennedy Space Center and that was not a good use of time. We needed to miss the Hall and go straight to Kennedy Space Center in order to maximize our time. We missed the Omni theater because we were 10 minutes too late in arriving from Hall. How disappointing. The bus trip around the Cape Canaveral, including launching pads, etc was interesting but far too long and the commentary by the guide was rambling and unprofessional. All up I would suggest anyone avoids this packaged trip and finds a way to hire to a car and drive to Kennedy Space Center and do all the trips, lunch, etc. on your own. If you can find two days for the visit to Kennedy Space Center even better, as there is so much to see if you take all the options.

Dine with an astronaut was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed our time at NASA though it would have been nice if we had another day to explore, too.
