Key West Ghost and Mysteries Tour
Check-in for the ghost tour is no later than 8:45 at the corner of Duval and Caroline Street in front of the Porter Mansion on the Duval Street side. There is a small booth just at the entrance to the property, at the beginning of the 300 block of Duval Street, and that is where you will do your check-in. At 9pm the guide will depart and walk you down Rose Lane for an introduction to the tour which includes some Key West history, terminology used when talking about different spirit sightings, instructions on how to take pictures, and general guidelines. Key West is Florida's second oldest city and one of the most haunted locations in the country. From Rose Lane you will walk to the end of the block stopping at the Casa Antigua, Ernest Hemingway's first Key West residence where he fell in love with Key West and wrote "A Farewell to Arms". You will hear what happened in this interesting building and the ghostly story about The Watcher. The tour then moves up to Eaton Street to the Artist House where you will hear the story of the creepy, Robert the Doll and see where he used to live. Next the tour moves to Bahama Street where the oldest graveyard is located in back of Saint Paul's Church. You are invited to use the dowsing rods at this point to try to engage spirit activity. Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. Finally, the tour moves inside to hear the chilling tale of a prominent Key West family at their former residence. As the tour concludes, there is time for stories and picture sharing. The tour is interactive and questions are encouraged. The tour ends at 10:30 across the street from where it started.

We've taken a few Ghost tours in our day and this is a better one. Ted does not try to scare you with over the top creepy stuff, but rather approaches the tour from a historical perspective. You still get the fun of the chills going up and down your spin - but you get that from a well constructed series of informational stories and photos. Well done Ted.

So let me say that Southernmost Ted was great as a tour guide and informative. I am generally one of these people that I believe in things enough to know not to mess with them. I try to got to Ghost Tours every city I go from Cassadaga, Oralndo, St. Augustine and even here in Key West previously. The places were familiar just from the history of Key West history, and I had been to the previously. In the beginning of the tour my phone was acting crazy and kept starting and stopping by itself, not saying there was a reason but it was strange.Now the difference in this tour from the rest was at a certain point by the old school house some kind of electronic device was used that was supposed to decode words or phrases from the other side. Now I must say I am not a fan of anything electronic, maybe it is just me but I am skeptical of those devices. The other tool used was the dowsing rods. I have never seen these used in person nor have I used them myself. For whatever reason I was chosen to hold them and ask questions. Let me just say I was very stressed I guess because I do not like things I can not control. Well as I asked the questions I had goosebumps running up and down my arms and I was seriously feeling faint I think from the anxiety of the rods literally moving and I was concentrating and focused on my hands making sure I wasn't moving them without knowing, which there was no way to since I was holding the outside copper tube holding the rod that only spins.... eeek. I did capture some pictures of orbs outside the Artist House and to make sure they were not light reflections I did take a video and maybe I am crazy but I see the orb just bouncing around all over??? Overall it was a great experience and I do believe there are restless spirits in Key West.

After a great ghost tour in New Orleans, my sister and I were definitely interested in trying another tour in the keys. Especially,given the cities vast history. The result for us was another AMAZING tour. A very special thank you goes out to our tour guide for the night,Ted! Ted was phenomenal and made the experience one of kind! My sister and I highly recommend him. Besides the perks of walking through the backyard of the haunted properties. The manner in which he told the intriguing tales certainly peaked our interest. If you truly believe in life past earth, you will love this tour and Ted obvs
