3
Kamakahonu Beach
This is the location where King Kamehameha I transitioned into the next life, and also the site of ancient human sacrifice.
4
Hulihe'e Palace
Will the ghostly "lady in white" of the palace show herself again? Was it Pele, or Princess Kaiulani? We've witnessed her on tour once before...and then she disappeared!
5
Mokuaikaua Church
The lava rock cornerstones of Hawaii's very first Christian church were formerly part of an ancient Hawaiian temple, built hundreds of years in the past. This newly introduced religion eventually led to events that are considered Hawaii's civil war and the end of the ancient Kapu system.
6
Kona Inn Shopping Village
Built on ancients grounds, the Kona Inn was responsible for ushering in the era of tourism in Kona. The site was formerly home to King Kamehameha II and is known as "papa'ula" or "red flats" as there may have been human sacrifice here as well. End the tour with a cleansing sage smudge at the new Big Island Ghost Tours booth.

Big Island Ghost Tours.

Zach provided a fun way to learn about the history of the Big Island while being ghost detectors. We added on the Tarot reading and will do the vortex tour. Great value and enjoyable evening tour.

Zach, owner/guide, was respectful and knowledgeable of Hawaii’s history, legends and spirits. He continually stated that he came with good intentions. Zach has dedicated his time to not only share stories of Hawaii but to also pick up trash to help keep the island clean. A big Mahalo Nui Loa for an amazing tour! ~Tina

Tina! You are AMAZING! Thanks for the wonderful review and for making us a part of your evening! The spirits have indicated they appreciate when we clean up the 'aina, so we incorporate that as much as possible! Aloha and take care! - Zach

I have gone on a few ghost tours but none have been as great as the Kona Haunted Hele was. My aunt and I did the Hilo tour a few days prior and liked it so much that on our same trip we booked the tour in Kona as well. The owner Zach is very passionate about the history of Kona and has so much knowledge about Kona’s spirits. During our tour we were able to use different ghost hunting equipment. We were able to connect with some spirits, an experience I will never forget. Not only does Zach teach us about the spirits of Kona he also teaches about having respect for the land and the spirits. Do yourself a favor and book this tour now.

Mahalo for your wonderful review!!! You brought such an amazing energy to the island and on tour that no wonder the spirits wanted to come through, especially your relative. The group dynamic that night was one of the best ever because everyone was seriously in to the tour. Thank you for your support of my small business and for making us a part of your special visit to Paranormal Paradise. Take care and stay in touch!! 🤙 Aloha, Zach
