3
Kamakahonu Beach
This is the location where King Kamehameha I transitioned into the next life, and also the site of ancient human sacrifice.
4
Hulihe'e Palace
Will the ghostly "lady in white" of the palace show herself again? Was it Pele, or Princess Kaiulani? We've witnessed her on tour once before...and then she disappeared!
5
Mokuaikaua Church
The lava rock cornerstones of Hawaii's very first Christian church were formerly part of an ancient Hawaiian temple, built hundreds of years in the past. This newly introduced religion eventually led to events that are considered Hawaii's civil war and the end of the ancient Kapu system.
6
Kona Inn Shopping Village
Built on ancients grounds, the Kona Inn was responsible for ushering in the era of tourism in Kona.

Big Island Ghost Tours.

Zack did a great job explaining the history of Hawaii and taking us to so great spots in Hawaiian history. Be prepared to stand a most of the time. It was well worth 2 hours to get some knowledge of the Hawaii island. We didn't get to see any extra normal activity but we did get to learn the possibilities of island.

I only booked this tour because my friend wanted to do it so I came in not expecting much. I was not into it in the beginning at all, but Zach was very engaging and shortly after I got sucked into it pretty fast. First an foremost, Zach passionately loves what he does and it shows through, which made the tour so awesome. In addition, he was also very knowledgeable of Hawaiian history. We started off at the Kailua Pier and ended near the Hulie’e Palace. Zach was very engaging and even let us walk around with his paranormal activity equipments! I got to hold one of them until it went off while I was holding it and freaked me out so I gave it right back to him (he ended up burning extra sage at the end near me so I felt a little better). Super creepy considering no one else’s went off. The tour was about 2 hours and Zach even gave us a copy of his book which I quickly read. Only thing I regret is not getting him to sign it!!!!! Thanks to him we discovered the gem that is Hulie’e Palace and got to visit it on a separate. We took a cruise a few days later and saw Zach again at the pier and I would absolutely do it again if we weren’t waking up at 5am to drive to VNP. If we had more days on the Big Island we would book some of the other tours with Zach because he was one of our favorite tour guides on the Big Island (other one is Gary from the Wapio Valley tour) and overall counting Maui. Lastly, he’s also easy on the eyes so that is always a plus 🤪😆😍 tl;dr: worth it, informational, Zach is an awesome tour guide who is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does.

MAHALO for your review! 😊😊 It was so funny when you had the hit on the Para-Light EMF detector, and when those people walked by and overheard us talking about ghosts and scary stuff...their facial expressions were priceless! LOL 😂🤣 Please reach out anytime you're back in Kona, there's plenty of other mystery to explore! 🤙
