Swimming with magical giants as they dance and float right in front of your eyes is a truly magical Kona experience!

Our night manta ray snorkel tours begin departing at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. and last about an hour.

Important note:
-Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate.
-Must have basic snorkeling experience.
-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
All participants must be experienced swimmers and have snorkel experience. Children must be 5 and over to board the boat. Due to the type of boat we operate (RHIB) we are unable to allow service animals on board.
25-30 minutes of water time
50 minutes includes travel by boat time as well

Research, there are much better Manta Ray snorkel adventures. What a joke they took you right into the bay. There are groups that take you out behind the Sheraton and you will see many rays not the one they have a relationship with "Queenie". The young lady on the shore actually said they turn the lights on to help the Manta Ray see. Do they get lost when they turn the lights off?

Let me first start off by saying what a shame to see this review. What a shame! Indeed, there are many other companies, ALL of which are amazing companies. What I would like to get into is that you seem to "know" what you think you know which is purely assumption; we operate in the bay when there is little or no Manta activity in front of the Sheraton or it is too rough. We are usually out in front of the Sheraton hotel; however, when the Manta Rays are not out there, we go where they are. In no way can we or any other company control which or how many Manta Rays show up; they are ocean life and completely unpredictable. We would love to say we have a "relationship" with a specific Manta Ray as you seem to think but you may want to educate yourself on this activity as well as facts and also pay better attention to what the girl on shore is saying. They tell you that there is a light mounted under the board which illuminates the plankton of which the Manta Rays feed on. So to answer to your question, of course they do not get lost they are marine life. We wish you the best and hope that next time you will find a company that will better fulfill your expectations. To anyone that reads this response, please know that it is never our intention to be defensive; however, we do not appreciate when someone makes false accusations as we do our very best to provide everyone with an amazing experience. Upon the return of each and every tour, we ask everyone how their tour was for this very reason. To avoid any unhappy guests. It is incredibly unfortunate that there will always be some who instead of speaking up at the time they are asked, who rather express it via a very unwarranted review.

This was one of our vacation highlights - such a unique experience! We tried not to get our hopes up of definitely seeing manta rays, as they are wild animals, but we were delighted to find that they were feeding in the harbour right near the boat ramp! The boat ride was almost comical, taking just a few minutes, but it suited us just fine - afterall, we were there to see mantas, not have a boat ride! Within minutes of entering the water we saw some action and three gorgeous mantas came and went throughout our tour - fantastic! The My Kona team were all amazing - I can't remember everyone's names but they were all so welcoming and made us feel at ease. They only take small groups of 6, so it felt very relaxing and more special. They also told us that bigger boats who were further out had not seen any manta rays that night, and wouldn't be able to come into the same spot as us because their boats are too big! We can highly recommend this trip - it's a once in a lifetime experience!!

Aloha! Yes, that boat ride is so quick compared to other companies that have to travel 45 minutes to get to the site. It is perfect for those who are so excited and can't wait to hop in and see those Majestic Manta Rays. We are thrilled that you had a great time and that our staff were amazing as well.
