This was a great tour! It was very fun, informative and relaxing. I would definitely recommend it for a family or even a single person.
The trip was ok, not great. Did not actually get to explore the caves, just padded up near to them and then moved on. If you have never kayaked and want some instruction with some mildly interesting tour factoids, this is fine. Just a little expensive for a 1.5 hour scoot around the water in a kayak for my tastes.
A few words of warning about this tour: Firstly, entrance into the caves is dependent on the weather conditions. We did not get to go in the caves, and our guide said that they don't go in very often in the winter. Also, you WILL get wet, and I mean thoroughly wet, so be prepared and rent a wetsuit, or bring a change of clothes. That being said, we really had a nice time kayaking in the Pacific! I rented a tandem kayak with my 11 yr old son and even though we are both amateurs, we managed to keep up with the group and launch and land through the surf with no problems. The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. This is a good tour for anybody - you don't need to be an expert kayaker. Without going in the caves, there wasn't much else to do, but we saw sea lions and went to the kelp forest (not that you could see it) and it was still a worthwhile experience.
