Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Such a great experience! The property is beautiful! The local vendors and the Kukui Nut lei greeting was a great touch. Itinerary is well thought-out, and the food was absolutely delicious! We really enjoyed the open bar, professional pictures and the show was incredible! The only thing I wish would have been different is that they should have announced when they were digging out the pig as to give us an opportunity to view it. We were really looking forward to that aspect of the itinerary, but we missed it because it wasn’t broadcasted well enough. A real bummer for us! Aside from that, I can’t imagine this show being topped. Definately worth the value!

Memorial and well organized event that attempts to share a great cultural experience and history. Food was just okay except for the Kalua Pork which was delish!

This was the biggest waste of money. The food was awful, very plain and bland and hardly any selection. It was like they just opened up bags of frozen vegetables and microwaved them. The entertainment was not as expected. Very boring. We left in the middle. I would not recommend this to anyone
