Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

Met wonderful people and ate delicious food. Loved the dancers and was invited to try the hula but couldn’t keep up or even to twist. Loved the environment. I recommend this visit. Thank you.

The show was great and worth the experience… This is buffet style. All you can eat. They have wine, beer and traditional Hawaiian drinks don’t expect craft quality drinks. You’ll be sitting at a table in a huge hall with other visitors to the island. The hall is indoor outdoor. There are vendors selling various crafts and artwork that’s worth the purchase. There’s no pig in the ground but the story features Tahitian dancing. We arrived at 5:30. We left at 8:30… We recommend the show.

We loved the show. It was amazing and very well done. The food could use some improvement. It was nice having vendors but that time was a bit long.
