Our cabin is located in Skyline, one of the best aurora viewing spots in Fairbanks, perched on a towering mountaintop far from the city lights. It faces a northern valley where the aurora frequently appears. Multiple outdoor viewing platforms provide ample space for guests to take photos, ensuring everyone enjoys a private, uninterrupted experience while marveling at the northern lights.

Inside the cabin, the flames in the hearth dance joyfully, casting a warm glow on the wooden ceilings and walls, creating a cozy and serene atmosphere. With a cup of hot chocolate in hand, you can admire the graceful dance of the aurora through the large glass windows, feeling as though it’s within reach. Outside, the world is still and silent, with only the aurora sweeping across the sky. The cabin becomes a hidden sanctuary where you are at one with nature, experiencing the profound tranquility and awe of the moment.

Host was great. Cabin was great, we had snacks and a fire. Aurora was not so great. Still got great pictures though.

The experience of witnessing the northern lights was unforgettable. The aurora borealis was stunning, with various shapes appearing throughout the evening. I’ve dreamed of seeing the northern lights since I was 15, and it finally came true. I captured amazing photos with my iPhone 14 Pro, and the host took perfect pictures of my family and me. It was truly a highlight of our trip!

It was a rainy night, and if we had had the ability to cancel we would have. I understand it is always a gamble. The lady that picked us up was nice, but it could have been a better setting to sit and wait for 3+ hours.
