We had a wonderful day with Shawn as our driver and tour guide. He even gave us an extra tour through the gardens. The history of the house was very interesting as well as see all the beautiful flowers.

Our tour guides were great, both gentlemen did a great job. This tour is mainly focused around the family and home, with a tour of the swamp and gardens. Something to just be aware of if you are looking for more slavery history.

This was a must do tour if you want to learn more about the slavery that look place back in 1800s! This was previously a large scale operation with many slaves living on site with the family pre the Civil War. The highlight was the tour round the house with a fabulous guide and then the train ride round the plantation. Sadly the driver to and from Charleston was not sufficiently prepped to provide appropriate commentary on route. Luckily the guides at the Plantation made up for her lack of knowledge!
