We were in a group of six. Two have lived in NYC for four years. Two have travelled to NYC several times and done a number of tours. Two were on their first trip (one of them is eight years old). Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed the trip. It was windy and a bit choppy, so we got to fly a little and certainly got damp, but at all times Joel was in complete control and it never felt unsafe. The ninety minutes passed very quickly, but in that time we got different perspectives of some of the sights around the Hudson and East River. Even those who had been before learned a few new facts. This isn't a trip for everyone - you've got to be prepared to hang on tight and get sprayed! Having said that, all the protective gear you need is supplied. Definitely take them up on the offer. If you only have time for one river tour - make it this one. None of the others are quite so exhilarating!
