After having been to Valdez 8 times already in Winter time, I wanted to experience Valdez during Summer time. Of course I had to do the Meares Glacier Excursion with Stan Stephens Glacier and Wildlife Cruises. The weather on August 5, 2024 was fabulous. So was the excursion. Apart from the impressive Meares Glacier and the scenery during the cruise, wildlife viewing was fantastic. Amongst others, we saw Orcas, Humpback Whales, Bald Eagles, Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, Puffins and on 2 occasions we had Porpoises accompanying the boat at high speed. What a da - a day which I will always remember! Thanks a lot to the team of Stan Stephens Glacier and Wildlife Cruises.

It was a beautiful sunny day and the views were amazing! We took tons of photos and video. Our captain was super informative throughout the cruise. Only reason for not a 5 star is, for what you pay, the lunch was just ok. Kind of like a hospital meal. All in all I would recommend this trip!

It was a very good option for seeing Prince William Sound, wildlife, and Meares Glacier. The weather was ok, but some fog and clouds. The crew was really good and the Captain, Amanda, was very informative and willing to go off track to see more wildlife. The boat Valdez Spirit was very comfortable and had clean restrooms. It was not crowded. They serve free coffee, tea, water, and lemonade. You get a bagel in morning and a decent lunch after the glacier stop. We were out 8 hours.
