Although we live an hour from Milwaukee, we never have really "toured" the city, just went directly to the museum/attractions/etc. so I decided to book my family on the Untapped Milwaukee tour. It ended up a great way to hear about the city, and see sites we have read about but never seen. Our first stop after getting picked up by Mike, our tour guide, was to walk past the Pabst Theater and visit "The Fonz" on the river front. Afterwards, our group of 14 jumped on the small bus (which was comfortable and, thankfully, had a great sound system.) We were driven around different areas of Milwaukee, getting out by the lighthouse which overlooks Lake Michigan, stopping at the Art Museum (the entrance area there is awesome), sampling cheese nerds at a cheese shop, and finally ending up at Lakefront Brewery. This last stop was a hit with my three 20+ year old sons, especially as we were treated to the whole tour of the brewery (which I guess doesn't happen all the time.) Lots of fun, with beer to drink and a glass to take home. All and all a very fun morning discovering our close-by city.
