When I travel to new places, and sometimes to places I have been but haven't really explored, I like to go on these highlight tours. I finally stopped in Milwaukee in 2019 and wanted a look around. However, things didn't line up and I ended up not going on this tour. Fast-forward to 2024 and I set aside time to try again. This time, I had an earlier booking and the weather was far better than 5 years earlier. It was a small group of people on our tour bus, which made it all the more easier for our guide to explain the areas we visited and answer our questions. He took us all around the different sights of downtown and then stopped at the more interesting spots that not everyone would necessarily see. I even saw the "Bronze Fonze" of Happy Days lore! Of course, Milwaukee is full of famous architecture and you see it all as you go through. Perhaps the best part of that is the stop at the Milwaukee Art Museum which features the same unique look that makes the Oculus in Manhattan famous. And the views from the park where the lighthouse is were just beautiful. If you want something different and a change of pace when you visit Milwaukee, I definitely recommend trying Untapped Tours. The guide was knowledgeable, and he is a lifetime citizen of the area. It's well worth it for someone traveling solo like I was, or for couples looking for something new to see. Oh, and spend money on goodies at the Milwaukee Public Market!
