Feel the magnitude of nature while learning the fascinating history of Rudyerd Bay, the fjords, New Eddystone Rock and Punchbowl Cove. Mountain goats, black and brown bears, humpback and orca whales, seals and sea lions inhabit the area and are frequently observed from the boat.

Captain Lance took extra time to stop when passengers wanted to take photos . Beautiful scenery! Liked seeing the volcanic plug.

They canceled our Tuesday trip so we said we will go Wednesday. Their guide set a location to pick us up and he was over 30 minutes late and then he went to the wrong place to pick us up. I saw him and called him. Then on our way out, he said geez I don’t think we can make it, it’s kind of rough. So he canceled our trip again and motored around using time, we came in very early. I would like to have a refund on this wasted trip. I was very disappointed. Also, he provided misinformation on points of interest.

We apologize for any confusion about the meeting time and place. Weather can be a factor in Alaska. Unfortunately the weather did not allow the trip to continue due to safety concerns. The captain was able to conduct a local Saltwater Excursion with your group for which you were appropriately charged.

We did this excursion on June 27 and we had the best time. We had perfect sunny cloudless weather. There was a fog bank early that Captain Bosch was worried would make us have to cancel the fjord part of the trip because it takes so long to get there and back that you have to go a certain speed, which you can't do in fog. But the bank cleared and we were able to go. The scenery once you get to the Fjord is magical. There's no other way to describe it. It was our first port stop on our cruise and the perfect introduction to the majesty of the Alaskan wilderness and the beauty of the terrain. We were literally the only boat in the fjord the entire day which made it even more special because it felt like it was just for us. Captain Bosch was great about slowing down / almost stopping so we could get pictures of specific mountains, waterfalls etc. He was constantly on the lookout for animals, unfortunately we didn't see any, but the views totally made up for it. I loved the small group size of only six on the boat. We had the full six and I spent almost the whole cruise sitting outside at the bow of the boat getting photos and enjoying the sun. I had originally had this excursion booked for three weeks prior to this date, but I came down with covid and couldn't go on the cruise. We moved the cruise to a later date and I called Alaskan Hummer Tours to tell them and to ask if I could switch the excursion to the new date on my cruise and they were so helpful and understanding and made the change with no problem. I really appreciate how flexible and accommodating they were in this uncertain travel time that we are living in with Covid. I completely recommend this company and specifically this tour!
