This was my first time to Monument Valley (as well as my husband's) and we felt so glad and grateful to have experienced it via this tour, especially with Duffy. We learned and appreciated so much more than we would have if we had just driven through the loop by ourselves. It was interactive and we asked questions as they came up and shared information with Duffy - it was not a one-sided monologue. We learned a great deal about the plant life, geology, Navajo culture and history, current issues, and got to go to private areas off limits to the public, which we really enjoyed. We also had great photo opportunities. After the tour, I saw a poster in the hotel gift shop of a mother with her baby and was able to see several meaningful representations in the picture I otherwise would not have known about. Duffy and the kind Navajo woman we met were very welcoming, sharing, generous and had enjoyable senses of humor. This tour is worth it and should be part of your Monument Valley experience! We were very pleased!
