What an amazing tour! Totally humbling. Toney our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the Valley . Took his time explaining the history and culture of the area
This was a good tour. What I'd change is: our guide was about 1/2 hour late and I had to call the number to ask if he/she was coming. Also: the tour description said at the end of the 31/2 tour, the guide would perform for us. Ours did not. So I feel I did not get just what I paid for. The tour of the monuments, and the off the beaten path part of the tour in the open air jeep/truck was awesome. We saw beautiful sights and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Such beautiful country and inspiring nature. Seeing the inside of the hogan was such a delight. Our guide was friendly and offered to stop whenever we wanted photos. We saw so many horses running wild....just a beautiful picture.........against those monumental buttes. We would do the tour again and would recommend the tour to anyone......if you drive yourself you would not get to enjoy and really take in the extraordinary beauty of Monument Valley.
Our tour guide was outstanding! He kept the kids entertained and the adults informed. We had so much fun on the tour itself. My only complaint is that we waited over an hour in the hotel lobby constantly being told by other tour operators who came and went that our guy would be along shortly. I called and called the number provided by confirmation email and couldn't get a hold of anyone so finally the front desk people knew someone and was able to get a tour operator to us. The guide told us this happened all the time that the reservation wasn't relayed to the tour guides. Thanks goodness the front desk people took pity on us!!
