I have been on many Gray Line operated tours is many states. This by far, is the best Gray Line tour I have ever been on. Our driver, Mr. Jerry was FANTATSTIC. He took us all over the hills and to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Keystone, and several other towns in the hills. We began at Mt. Rushmore, and were given ample time to tour the entire attraction. We then went on a train ride through the hills which was absolutely gorgeous. We then went to Crazy Horse which was interesting and then some more traveling through the hills. Mr. Jerry was extremely knowledgeable and gave very detailed information on each landmark, attraction, and the history related to each event. He answered any question that anyone on the bus had. He even had his tablet and shared points of interest with the passengers on the bus as we traveled through the towns. He showed us many of the animals unique to the area on the tour and explained what they were. I definitely would recommend this tour. If you go on this tour, I would strongly suggest asking if Mr. Jerry is your tour guide. He was excellent and an amazing bus driver. He drove the bus so well in the narrowest parts of the hills and no one was nervous on the bus. Great Job Mr. Jerry. Thank you for a great tour.

Thank you for submitting your tour comments with Gray Line of the Black Hills on Trip Advisor! We have been offering sightseeing tours of the Black Hills for over 50 years and glad to see that you enjoyed our Mt. Rushmore & More daily tour. I have posted your submission for all to read here at Gray Line of the Black Hills. The tour is a great value versus doing everything on your own and the narration of the Black Hills area is a bonus. There are several options available for touring the Black Hills by bus. This "Mt Rushmore & More" tour seemed to be the most adult-friendly in terms of itinerary as well as the time spent at each destination. The driver actually picked us up at our resort! The first stop was Mt Rushmore and we were allowed almost 2 1/2 hours to take it all in. We were also treated to breakfast or lunch at the Carver's Cafe; good food and nice Arts & Crafts decor. Then it was back into town for a 10-mile excursion on the 1880 Train which was both authentic & relaxing. Our tour bus picked us up in Hill City and it was off to Crazy Horse Memorial. Again, we were allowed several hours to take in the scope & history of this massive work of art-in-progress. The Memorial is made up of museums. restaurants, exhibits and also features local Native American artisans displaying & selling their wares. A great taste of our Native-American heritage! The last leg was spent traveling through Custer State Park and Iron Mountain Road. Roger our driver and guide, has extensive knowledge of the natural history of the area and this was perhaps the most pleasant leg of the trip! We arrived back at our resort with plenty of daylight left, yet the day was so packed with activity that we were exhausted. I think older kids would enjoy the tour but the length spent at each attraction might test their attention spans. It was great for us to just sit back and enjoy each attraction without the hassle of driving to each one. At $69 per person, we would have paid that much for admissions and gasoline! A great deal, fantastic driver/guide and well-chosen itinerary allow us to give it the highest rating.
