Mount Vernon Tobacco Plantation, residence of the First President of the United States, George Washington. Upon arrival we visit the Mansion (Palladian Architecture) and the plantation surroundings including the final resting place of George and Martha Washington. Very interesting..!

We'll get back on the bus and head to Alexandria, an ancient town established in 1749. Old Town Alexandria features the distinguished Gatsby's Tavern restaurant, a prominent 18th century socio-economic political gathering spot where we'll stop for photos.

Our guide was excellent and we enjoyed the tour tremendously. He was especially attentive to our two grandchildren (10 & 12 years old).

This is a beautiful place to visit, absolutely worth it. Luis and Heidi were amazing guides, we took the tour in Spanish in a wonderful cold day.

We had such a great time on this tour. Louie was so informative of telling us the history of Mount Vernon and the area around it. He was so nice letting us take our time to look at everything we wanted to see and be able to take pictures. If you have time, this is a must tour to take.
