this company picks you up from your hotel. they even called the night before to give you a reminder of time and pick up location. our guide was courteous, polite and professional. we stopped near the golden gate bridge for photos. he provided information on the trip but did not talk too much. the only downside has nothing to do with the company but the new reservation system at muir woods. we only had 1.5 hours at muir woods. i understand them wanting to control the numbers there but i would have enjoyed more time there. i am a gift shop junkie and i had no time to browse and buy. muir woods needs to allow more time

We recently took the Muir Woods Expedition AM Tour, Kim was our tour guide. She did a great job in pointing out details as we made the drive to Muir Woods. My kids (16&20) had never heard of Muir Woods before and I think were skeptical however really enjoyed themselves. The woods themselves are just beautiful. We took the trail that Kim suggested although I do wish we would not of returned on the Hillside trail (upper part of the trees) and instead turned around going back the same direction and just crossing over at bridge 2 or 3 to head towards the Bohemian Grove and continue out. We enjoyed seeing the trees more from the ground up. We also returned via the ferry from Sausalito and were lucky enough to enjoy some warmer temps and sunshine that day. While this was the longest tour I could find you still almost feel as if you could use just a little more time, especially if you would like to look around in the gift shop, we only had minutes for that.

We enjoyed our tour with Victor to Muir Woods. We were picked up at our hotel. First stop was a view of the Golden Gate Bridge for pictures which was great. Then we headed to the woods and had about an hour and a half there to explore, which was just enough time to do the main trail and explore the gift shop. The redwoods were amazing!! Where it was early in the day it was not too crowded, but started to be busy as we were leaving. On the way back, we were dropped off to check out Sausalito and have lunch. We chose to take the ferry back. Overall, Victor was good at explaining the history of the different sites we saw and left us to explore Muir Woods independently which we enjoyed. Comfortable ride in a small luxury bus. Would recommend this half day tour as a great way to see some sites outside of San Francisco.
