Muir Woods is a must destination. Plan accordingly your transportation. Parking permit is required to be purchased in advance. A visit on the weekend is possible by a $3 per person shuttle but you must purchase the timed ticket in advance. Which was our choice. Road to Muir Woods is very winding with blind curves. The park itself is so serene and peaceful with the majestic redwoods. If you have a lifetime senior national park pass you can use it for admission to the Woods. Otherwise the entrance fee is $15

It is fantastic to learn you found the park to be a wonderful site worth a day tour during your visit to Northern California. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
