I cannot say enough good things about this tour! We actually did several tours while in Nashville, and this was the last one we did, and it was decided on as an after-thought, b/c we had an extra day. We had seen these gold carts all over town, and didn't give them much thought. We had noticed lots of art/murals and wanted to check them out and get some of the history. Since we didn't have a car, we googled to see if there was some kind a tour, and that is how we can to the Mural Art Tour by Gold Cart! Our guide was Shannon and he awesome! For 2 hours he drove us around, pointing out art and murals, taking our pictures, giving us history, and at the end, he even stopped at the Union Station Inn, gave us the history and had us go inside - so glad he did! It is gorgeous in there! This was definitely a stop we wouldn't have known about, had it not been specifically pointed out to us. My friend and I both agreed that this was our favorite tour of the entire trip. We wished we had done it sooner, so we could realize how awesome it was, and have signed up for additional tours through them vs some of the others we did (not that those weren't good, but this one was better.) The thing we liked so much about it, and the thing that set it apart from the other tours is how personal and intimate it was. Shannon was really able to focus on us, and what we wanted out of the tour, and accommodate us. It was a much more conversational experience, which we both really liked. On a big bus, or trolley, you might not get something this personalized, or you might not feel comfortable talking to the guide or asking lots of questions.... this was great! I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone!
Also, apparently some of these golf carts around town operate as cabs, but for the cost of a tip. So it's another option vs Lyft, Uber or a cab.
