It was a pleasure to travel to Napa and Sonoma. I went together with my father and both were very happy and satisfied. The tour and wine tasting were perfect and this combine with the funny guide of the bus driver Danilo maked a wonderful and unforgettable time for my father and I. Thank you very much!

We so enjoyed this trip with Gray Lines. Beautiful locations for wine stops. My favorite by far was our stop at Sanoma because we had our tasting outside on a patio overlooking the mou trains and the beautiful vineyards. Their wine was also my favorite. The other 2 stops were nice as well just not as pretty. Our driver Danillo was very jovial and knowledgeable and kept us entertained all day. Would definitely recommend this trip!

Good points: the tour guide Antonio was fantastic!! He really made the trip and is the only thing/person that was exceptional about the tour. He would get 5 stars if were just him the rating was based on. He was so knowledgeable about San Fran, Sequoia, Napa, and wine making. He gave us some lovely facts and tidbits to make the trip quite entertaining. He was also extremely helpful, taking people's pictures and making sure everyone made it back onto the bus on time. He also stopped off for some beautiful pictures on the Golden Gate as the fog had come in and it looked incredible. Other than that there were some nice vistas and picture spots in some of the vineyards. We went to Jacuzzi and Vinasa; Jacuzzi do a nice Moscato and Vinasa had a good Pinot Grigio. Jacuzzi also do flavoured olive oils and balsamic vinegars which are actually quite nice. Bought some of these instead of the wines on offer. Mediocre points: Sequoia town/village is ok. The offerings for lunch were very generic and uninteresting. It tastes ok, is a reasonable price; however, it is not a place we would be interested in visiting again. Almost wish we had brought a picnic/tapas with us so we could have had that in the park. It was the nicest spot by far. Bad points: every single vineyard tour and wine tasting was done by a guide who gave extremely generic information and clearly had little knowledge about wine or wine making if you asked them any questions that were not standard. If you know very little about wine then the trip would be interesting; however, if you have previously been on a wine tour or are european and knowledgable about wine then it is limited. It would have been nice to have tasted wine with a trained sommelier. Previous reviews have said other passengers have gotten rowdy or excessively drunk. I don't know how as the tasting portions were very small. You would not expect anyone to get drunk with these portions. You don't want a bus like a vegas hen do but it would be nice to have enough wine to actually taste. Most wines weren't enough for a dwarfs thimble unless you paid for a proper one after the private tasting. The final vineyard was also an "estate" (they do full production on site). Despite this, there was nothing about the production discussed during the tasting. A lot more could have been made of this as it was the only estate we visited. Instead we were treated to a trashy and gimmicky sales pitch for alternative methods of uncorking a wine bottle. This particular guide was also the least knowledgeable and clearly reading from a script. All in all, worth it for the info about San Fran and the pictures of GG bridge but not for the actual wine tour.
