TL/DR: hidden fees, false communication/advertising Advice: use Uber or Lyft instead and book your own. Was quoted $412 on my initial receipt. Was also told over the phone that the trip would be “all inclusive” and include lunch. Concierge Jineen and driver Zedun were great. The part that is lacking is communication and accurate advertising. Initially told over the phone we would be seeing 4 wineries. Initial itinerary listed 3. Had to ask for the 4th. We were not told the winery fees would not be in the “all inclusive” price. Being on our honeymoon and naive to Napa Valley I did not know what to expect. All in all not including lunch we bought ourselves it cost me $999.18. Just being driven around cost $618.75. Never received a receipt showing the charges, just charged on my card. Honestly if I were to do it over I would just get an Uber. Far less expensive for the same service and you know what you’re getting.

Hello Philip, I apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the cost of your tour. We are a transportation company, and, as such, are totally responsible for your transportation, including the fees. The $412.50 quoted on your original receipt was the inclusive rate after the addition of the license fee/tax, fuel, and base gratuity for 5 hours’ service in the vehicle. That was your original time commitment. With the addition of the fourth winery, your total time in the vehicle came to 7.5 hours, which amounted to a total of $618.75 inclusive. As we state very clearly on our website in numerous locations, “tasting fees are not included” and are at the discretion of the wineries. Lunch is not included in this tour, which is why I included a stop at a winery where you could purchase lunch. Typically, this tour does include 4 winery stops, but two of the wineries you wanted to visit were in the most distant town in the Valley, so I made the decision to schedule just 3 wineries, to stay within your 5-hour time frame. At your request, I added a fourth winery. I apologize for the confusion. We are reviewing our website and training our staff to make it abundantly clear what is included in our tours so our future clients understand completely.

This was one of the worst wine tours I had ever experienced. The tour promised four winery visits with tastings. We were told we would get a text or call 30 minutes prior to be picked up, which we did not receive and felt extremely rushed even from the beginning of the tour. One couple did not show up at all (probably since they did not receive a call). The first winery did not have a tasting option, instead we were put at a picnic table and had to select only one bottle of wine to share with the other couple on the tour with us (who we did not know, nor did we have the same taste in wines so at least 1/2 of us were disappointed). The 'picnic table' option that the tour had selected for us was FAR more expensive than the typical tasting option and we were asked to pay the sections for the couple who did not show up for the tour (such a rip off for such a bad experience). The two following wineries were fine but we were rushed at every single stop. The 'last winery' was simply the bus driver dropping us off at Oxbox Market at the bar inside the market (WHICH DID NOT HAVE WINE TASTINGS). This was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and there were no seats available and the market was packed. It was a terrible experience. We called the company to try and get a discount since the fourth winery was NON EXISTENT, and they simply refused and promised to call back and we never heard from them again. LITERALLY DO ANY OTHER TOUR THAN THIS. The driver was bad, the experience was bad, and it was massively overpriced.

Hello Jessica, Let me first thank you for taking the time to write a review in such detail. It is extremely helpful to us. We take your concerns very seriously and will make every effort to ensure that these issues will not recur. I will address each of your concerns in order. We do not know why the driver did not alert you before he picked you up. He certainly should have, and he has been advised once again that he should always pre-call his guests before he picks them up. Thank you for informing us of this shortcoming. At this point, let me digress to discuss the current protocol at Napa wineries due to the corona pandemic and its impact on wine tours. The regulations at the wineries are changing almost daily with regard to the number of guests, indoors or outdoors, food or no food, winery hours/days, to name but a few, and they change so frequently that the wineries often do not have time to notify the general public. The winery where you were asked to share a bottle with other guests, had - just a few days prior – offered guided tastings. We were not notified of the change. Under no circumstances, should a winery expect you to pay for guests who did not show up. There are two tasting opportunities in Oxbow Market: Oxbow Tasting Salon & Vintage Bar (spirits) and Taste at Oxbow (wine). Whether or not they were open on the day of your tour, I do not know, but your driver certainly should have. The response of our office was regrettable, but I understand you have spoken with them since. Once again, Jessica, thank you for your time in writing a thorough review what will bring about definite changes in our procedures as we cope with the challenges of COVID 19.

Pros: 1. The reservation staff was communicative from the beginning and also arranged a pickup from Hotel in Yountville 2. The driver Kevin was good to talk to and gave great insights into wineries and Napa Valley. The driving was safe as well and he was wearing Mask the entire time. 3. The vehicle had sanitization measures during these Covid times. Cons: 1. Wineries - The listing says 5 wineries but they only took us to 3 as they couldn't find more reservations. Its fine during this pandemic times but at least we should have been informed from the beginning. We skipped tasting at the 3rd place thinking we were going to 2 more but ultimately there were no more left. So we ended up tasting in only 2 wineries. 2. Lunch - Make sure to confirm the Lunch options with them. It says all kinds of food options on the listing but ultimately we were given a Turkey Sandwich, chips and potato salad. For Vegetarians, you should confirm that from them before hand as we just assumed from the listing that they'll have options. 3. Tour ended in 5 hours instead 6 as the listing says. Again, its fine during these pandemic times but customers should be informed.
