We really enjoyed this walking tour of the monuments and memorials around the National Mall. The pace was reasonable, with good detail at each stop and 10 minutes at each memorial independently. (Korean War Memorial, WW II War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Vietnam Memorial). The weather was hot, and our guide, Becca, was careful to find a shady spot for her talk at each stop.

Our group was 12, thirteen year old girls and 8 moms, seeing DC by night. I set up our trip through Canden and our guide was Ingeborg. IT WAS OUTSTANDING! Ingeborg was in touch often to confirm details. She was flexible and patient and smart and entertaining. She kept the girls’ attention with awesome historical facts and wowed us with her knowledge of the sites and their importance. She customized our plans throughout the evening tour to accommodate everyone. Four hours sounds like a long time, but it flew by! I highly recommend DC By Foot, even if you’ve seen the sites. Seeing the monuments at night and at dusk is a completely different experience. And seeing them with Ingeborg was like being in a walking classroom.
