This being our first visit to New Orleans, we wanted to make sure we learned about the history and architecture of the French Quarter. This tour did not disappoint! Grey was not only informative and thorough, she interlaced her personal experiences to give our group a slice of life in Nola! The 2 hours went by way too quickly! We totally fell in love with the French Quarter thanks to Grey whose knowledge gave us the opportunity to truly appreciate our surroundings. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I am not exaggerating. This is the best tour I've taken. Seriously. I've taken ghost tours, museum tours, plantation tours, house tours, battleship tours--you name it. This is at the top. First of all, if you have any hesitation about the tour because you aren't that "in" to architecture--leave them behind. Of course, there is a lot about architecture on the tour, but the tour is really about the culture, the history, and the epic drama of New Orleans that is reflected in its architecture. Our tour guide Gray was simply the best. She had an encyclopedic knowledge of the subject, but relayed it in a personable way. We had a small group and so we could interact with her and she was happy to let us steer the conversation and talk about what interested us. It happened to be my birthday, so some would ask, "Really? A walking tour on your birthday? " Yep. One of my best birthday presents ever.

Grey did a marvelous job of introducing us to the architectural history and the variety of residential and commercial structures in the French Quarter. Grey was very knowledgeable about all aspects of French Quarter structures and their evolution from the founding of New Orleans on. Answered all questions. Highly recommended 2 hour tour. Group limited to 15 people.
