I've done many ghost tours in many different cities. This tour was by far one of my favorites that I have ever been on. Some tours in other cities (and some of the ones I passed in NOLA) are hokey. The guides are basically overly dramatic actors, and half of what they tell you isn't true. I love that Michael is a history professor, so he actually knew the real history of the City. He debunked some of the legends we've heard over the years, and told us about the actual events. Some of the content is very sensitive, and he handled the subject matter with respect, which I greatly appreciated. He has a real passion for the subject matter. You can tell it's not just a "job" for him. NOLA can get rowdy, and there are some weird characters. As a small group of 3 women we also felt extremely comfortable with Michael, and knew he'd have our backs if anything crazy went down, which I could not appreciate more. I highly recommend this tour, and I would try to get Michael again if I went back.
