The boat boards at 11:00am and 2:00pm and departs promptly at 11:30am and 2:30pm. We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to boarding.

  • Infant rates apply provided they do not occupy a seat.
  • The tour cruises rain or shine, however the cruise may be cancelled due to severe or dangerous weather conditions.
  • Anyone looking to book a group of 9 or more should contact the booking site directly. Different rates apply.
  • Should the Steamboat NATCHEZ need to take time off, her sister vessel will be taking her place. You'll get the same authentic experience of a grand paddlewheeler on a leisurely, two-hour cruise on the mighty Mississippi.

If it’s cold it’s gonna be colder out on the water so bundle up staff was really nice and super helpful

Be prepared with earplugs for the wait to get onto the boat. They have a talented musician playing a steam organ while you're in line. It's fun, but incredibly loud and the high notes painful. We didn't eat on board due to allergies and the dining room was very cold. It was a very wet day and somehow warmer on deck than in the air conditioning. Not a ton to see on the river. Domino sugar factory, a plantation home from a distance. The best part was being able to go below and see the steamboat mechanics and learning the history of the last genuine steam run paddle boat in New Orleans.

The narration about the history of the New orleans and this steamboat was excellent. The lunch is huge and very tasty. The steamboat stompers provided excellent music. The engine room was a huge hit for every one. Some of the best two hours in our life. Well worth it.
