Jessica, our tour guide, texted us to make sure we were ready and on time for our bus pick up which we appreciated. Our bus was pretty full and we were fortunate to have a great group of tourists. Jessica assigned us group numbers and had us wear badges which was great. It helped us identify our fellow tour people amongst the hundreds of others at each stop.
Jessica patiently explained to us each stop and fun filled facts and history. We began with the Journey behind the falls, saw the Whirlpool, the Floral park clock (yes Canada was 1st although Geneva’s was pretty too, lol), Skylon before heading for lunch. I have to say I can’t believe I made it to the Skylon because I am a bit afraid of heights. Fortunately, I didn’t feel any swaying and so didn’t feel afraid. Although I kept my eyes shut in the elevator. At lunch, we did nosh on fries and onion rings along with sandwiches we brought. Food is expensive so just take that into account. There is also plenty of opportunity to shop. Jessica would always let us know how much shopping time we had after sightseeing. And for those who lost track of time, she gave them a quick buzz. Following lunch, we did the Maid of the Mist boat ride (the tour highlight ) and walk around Niagara Falls State Park. I’m sure I missed a stop or two, but as you can tell, we had quite an itinerary that was fluid based on the weather.
Throughout, Jessica was full of enthusiasm, bon vivant and good cheer that made us want to see more. She was thorough, knowledgeable and kept track of us. I would highly recommend her and hope to see her on another tour.
