What if we don’t see any mantas? It is an extremely rare occurrence, but if we do not see ANY manta rays on our Night Manta Experience, you are welcome to come back out with us again during the same vacation, based on availability, totally free of charge. Make sure you call us right away so that we may reschedule you! Non-refundable and non-transferable.

We are fortunate to see mantas almost every night, but on the rare occasion where none are sighted on your tour, Sea Quest invites you to come back out on another night at no additional cost to you, or on a confirmed afternoon snorkeling adventure at no additional charge. No refunds available.

I was very nervous about this adventure but wanted to experience the manta rays at night with my two kids (ages 14 & 11) so I did a ton of research and chose to go with SeaQuest. I’m so glad I booked with this company! Even though they are more expensive than some of the others, they are very professional, organized, and know what they’re doing so we didn’t feel scared or anxious at all throughout our experience. The check-in process was smooth, their building is easy to find and it’s nice to have an actual storefront rather than a random truck on the side of the road like we saw a lot of other people going with. There isn’t a parking lot and you do have to park on the side of the road, but they have tables and chairs outside of their store for you to hang out until it’s time to go into the boat. Our guides were very helpful in getting us boarded and in the correct positions for viewing the mantas. I was a little nervous about jumping out of the boat and being in the ocean at night, but the time I booked for (7:30pm) was perfect since the sun was just setting while our boat headed out and we were in and out of the water before it was too dark. The boat ride was only 5 minutes, I still got a little seasick but not too bad. The amount of time we spent in the water was perfect, just when we had our fill of mantas and started to get tired, it was time to get back into the boat (we spent about 40 minutes in the water). Some people went back to the boat early and the crew helped with that without any issues. We saw so many mantas and they even touched some of us (multiple times)! There were a lot of other boats and people out in the water with us at the same time, but it wasn’t an issue and hearing the other snorkelers’ screams of excitement actually added to the experience for us haha For those who are nervous about jumping out of the boat into the ocean, don’t be! They give you a noodle and the jump isn’t scary at all :) I will definitely book another snorkeling tour with this company when I’m back in Kona, they were very professional and we felt safe with them.

Sea Quest's Night Manta Tour was simply amazing. We had no fewer than 7 Mantas around us at a single time. We had some dual manta barrel rolls right under us. 10 out of 10!

Amazing experience! Highly recommend going and definitely choosing this company. Staff is experienced and professional. Wetsuits are included and keep you super warm (a must for night water experiences). Shop is established and has rental GoPros if desired along with gift shop etc to remember the experience. Other companies are running the business out of the back of vans on side of road but this place has a beautiful outdoor area overlooking water with tables and chairs to relax before / after snorkeling. Saw several manta rays that swam inches away over and over again - unforgettable! Definitely recommend!!!
