What if we don’t see any mantas? It is an extremely rare occurrence, but if we do not see ANY manta rays on our Night Manta Experience, you are welcome to come back out with us again during the same vacation, based on availability, totally free of charge. Make sure you call us right away so that we may reschedule you! Non-refundable and non-transferable.

Please read and understand the manta guarantee : Manta Guarantee: If zero manta rays are seen, you are welcome back out again. Itʻs that simple. We are fortunate to see mantas almost every night, but on the rare occasion where none are sighted on your tour, Sea Quest invites you to come back out on another night at no additional cost to you, or on a confirmed afternoon snorkeling adventure at no additional charge. No refunds available.

Sea Quest has our business for any future trips we take to Kona/the Big Island, hands down. Earlier in the week we did the deluxe morning snorkel tour and loved the experience and the guides, so we checked back a few days later to see if we could get in on the Night Manta Tour before our trip was over. Unfortunately, all spots were full for the remainder of our trip, but Ellen was absolutely amazing and offered to put us on the waitlist for the tours happening over the next two days. With it being peak tour season and a highly sought-after experience, we thought we had no chance. But we got the call! We were so excited to snag those last spots. The whole tour from start to finish was amazing. We went out right at sundown and got situated in the water and it took a little while for the mantas to find us and come up to us, but when they did, they were RIGHT there, brushing up against you. The guides were amazing in shifting us around and providing some manta facts as well as for some of the other smaller fish we saw. They identified each manta for us as they came and visited, and it was interesting to see the different physical characteristics that differentiate each one. 10/10 would highly recommend this tour and in particular going with Sea Quest.

We were on a boat with Captain Nick, Libby, MJ, Morgan(?), and a couple of other folks whose names I didn't catch. They were all professional and helpful. Instructions were clear and we felt like we could ask questions whenever we needed to. The boat ride was slow, gentle, and short (about five minutes). We weren't the first boat to arrive, and at first I was worried we were going to miss out, but our crew knew what they were doing and we were not disappointed. No matter what you've seen on YouTube, you aren't prepared for this. It is so cool it's hard to describe. We bought the GoPro package and it was well worth it. These gentle monsters come out of nowhere sometimes and can even bump into you unexpectedly. My daughter got cold and a bit sick and she had to go back to the boat early and that was not a problem. The crew had a plan and got her safely back to the boat while the rest of us continued watching the rays. I will say that those of us on one end of the board had a better time than those at the other end, so results may vary even within the same trip.
