another great day jeff was our driver again, the hot springs were amazing the water temp out side was hot as ex spected, the ice house was an amazing expeirence how they make the skulptures inside the house is mind blowing, again dissapointed did not see the northern lights to many cloads in the sky, but still a great trip
Our guide, Renee was great and early to pick me up at the hotel. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the local area and the moose. We saw 5 moose on the way to the hot springs, he drove slower and stopped at every moose sighting so we could take pictures/videos. The other people on the tour were so nice as well.
- Arrived on time for the Ice museum tour: really cool sculptures, great experience, and had a martini at the ice bar in a ice glass. We were able to take it outside with us.
- Hot springs was amazing! I stayed in the outdoor one. It was said usually there's a lot of people there, but we lucked out and was pretty empty. I got to lay out on the rocks, it was very peaceful - careful though from the extreme change in temperatures of the hot spring and weather.
- Our guide kept an eye out and was tracking the Aurora the whole time, it was supposed to be very cloudy with low chances of showing, but we lucked out and it was gorgeous! There's also an indoor viewing room so you can stay there and recover from the cold.
Overall, great trip!
The food was nothing special, but the dog sled portion of the night was great. We only had a few good sightings of the NorthernLights due to the weather. A B or at most a B.
