Note: the resort does not allow children under 18 in the outside rock pool. However, they may use the indoor pool under adult supervision.

  • We can only pick up from inside the city limits of Fairbanks or North Pole. For other locations, you will need to go to an agreed location (eg Walmart), please contact our office to discuss if you are staying outside the city limits.
  • Water is not supplied for this tour. We recommending bringing a refillable water bottle.

The drive to the hot springs was very pretty. I loved the ice museum, it was very impressive. Honestly, I thought that the hot springs would be cooler than they are, bit it was still a nice and relaxing time. Gina was a very friendly and informative person. She really tried to deliver the Northern Lights, but it sadly wasn't meant to be (not her fault obviously). I had a good time anyway!

Driver/guide was very courteous and safe. It was about 1.5 hrs from downtown Fairbanks and we were also able to stop by and see the Alaskan pipeline en route. The ice museum was interesting but did not need the 45 min allotted in my opinion. Dinner reservation for the group was made in advance for those interested. Food was pretty good (not gourmet and certainly expensive as expected for Alaska), however service was very slow. The hot springs were really awesome and I don’t regret going in. Only 2 complaints. 1. Locker facilities. The lockers are small for all your winter gear, floors are wet and it was challenging to change in/out without getting your clothes a little wet. 2. The viewing area for the aurora was not protected. There were headlights from parked vehicles (tour vans/delivery trucks? adjacent ) and also had several vehicles passing through. These are issues with the resort and not the tour operator.

The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. He took a side trip to view the pipeline since we had time. We were okay in the van but they had to combine two due to an illness. More room would have been nice. Got to the Chena Hot Springs around 6:45 pm (our pick up was 4:15). Did the Ice House (okay, and just as I wanted it to end it did, so good timing), dinner (a bit slow, but good), and the hot tubs and mineral lake. We had a lot of clothing to manipulate so the actual soak was like 30 min. Came out and met at 11 pm - the show had started - amazing. Left around 12:30-1:00. The guide stopped along the way for one last few- got back about 2:30 am!
