We visited 14 states over a month's time, including NYC, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Nashville, the fall colors in New England, and a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway. This tour, led by the incredible Karen Q of Patriot Tours, was our favorite tour of the entire trip. For this history junkie, it was the perfect tour! Karen was very well-informed, telling terrific stories to go along with each of the stops we made. My mother wears hearing aids and has difficulty hearing in noisy places, and Karen was very accomodating, making sure Mom was close by to hear every story told. If you're interested in American history at all, this is the perfect way to get your history fix. WELL WORTH the time!

Having just read Atkinson’s first of three books on the Revolutionary War, this tour was the perfect way to bring his words to life. Our tour guide did a superb job of taking our group back to Revolutionary War times. She is a master story teller supplementing her talk with pictures, maps and minute details never discussed in high school or college American history classes. Although it’s a walking tour, it is not that strenuous and you will have one break. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a thoroughly delightful tour with Karen when we were in New York a couple of weeks ago. Karen's enthusiasm for the subject was evident and she has a gift for making the history come alive. She seemed to have both a breadth and a depth of knowledge about Revolutionary era New York. She had an interesting answer for any question we asked, and my husband and I tend to ask a lot of questions! You know we like a tour guide when we take a picture so we can remember them :)
