The Oak Alley plantation tour is one of the most magnificent plantation tours near New Orleans because of the 28 evenly spaced, huge Oak Trees that go from the river road to the Plantation House. The Greek Revival home dates back to 1837. Located on the grounds is a restaurant, blacksmith shop, Souvenir Shop and antique farm equipment. Next up is an airboat tour - hold onto your hat! Our New Orleans Airboat Swamp Tour is a high speed adventure that is part tour and part ride. Along the way, you will get a personal tour by your local Captain. Our airboats have stadium seating, so that the person in front of you does not obstruct your view. So, every airboat seat is great for experiencing the tour and viewing the wildlife.

On this tour, you will experience the best of both: an informative swamp tour and high speed thrill airboat ride. You will travel at high speeds in the airboat then slow down and stop for pictures. Your Captain will give you a tour of a life time explaining the culture, animals, and the swamps. You may even experience a close encounter with some of the local swamp life. Please note: the order of the combination tours may change based upon availability and weather.

The obvious beautiful home built so long ago and the gardens surrounding it. We had someone with us who had been at the home on a previous tour. She said that they showed the kitchen and the cellar on that occasion, so we felt cheated. The swamp tour was just terrible. It was very very hot out there in the swamps and then the boat broke down. We had no covering so there we sat in the blazing sun. Our driver rang for another boat to come rescue us which seemed to take an eternity. When the second boat arrived, it then broke down as well. After another phone call to base, a large boat arrived. No one asked if the passengers were ok - it seemed that their main concern was getting the boats to work again. We would have thought that the second or third boat should have had a supply of water on board for the passengers. The 5 of us said”never again” and we meant it.

We apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused. Unfortunately, this situation is completely out of our control. We did our best to get the boats operating again so that you don't miss out on too much of your tour and to get you out of the direct sunlight. We really wished you would have come to the office so that we could compensate you accordingly.

The plantation tour was very interesting. I enjoyed it. The swap tour was amazing. We seen alligators, and a owl. Captain Matt dud an amazing job. Highly recommend it
