This tour company is co-owned by a husband/wife team. Tim (husband half) is the guide. He's personable, funny and a true historian. He used to teach middle school and you can totally see that in his personality. He wants you to love Philly and specifically Ben Franklin as much as he does. I assume that telling stories to interested tourists is an easier gig than telling those same tales to unwilling 12 and 13 year olds. However, if you happen to have kids in your group, Tim will educate and entertain them and definitely leave everyone with a greater appreciation for Philadelphia history. As another review says here - this felt a lot like strolling the city with a good friend (and I'll add rather than being part of a herd with a costumed character).

Fun and very informative. Tim is hilarious and you can tell he is passionate about what he does. Also, it's a small business so it felt casual and intimate, like I was being taken on a tour by a friend.

If your looking for the old stodgy tour guide dressed in period garb who might just put you to sleep while on your feet - DONT Take this tour. This was awesome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. History and joking banter just enoigh of both to keep you tuned in and having fun. Stop for cold brew dark and tan coffee was great. My 11 year old daughter actually gave it an A+ which floored me!
