The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

Ian and Liam were our guides. They were great! They helped us feel at ease with kayaking on the ocean and had alot of good history, stories to share about the wildlife, the sea lions in the caves, the scenery, and surrounding area. Thanks for a great kayaking experience! We loved it!

Fabulous introduction to La Jolla and it’s marine beauty. KJ was a terrific guide - very knowledgeable and helpful. Be prepared to get wet as you get in the kayak. Swim suit advised! And purchase a phone protector.

Thank you for mentioning swim wear and phone cases, this is an ocean activity and no mater what you and whatever you have with you will get wet, best to be prepared. We rent wetsuits and sell board shorts in our shop, as well as dry bags for your cell phones. Come back again soon. - Best Everyday California

My friend and I were visiting San Diego and decided to book a kayak tour. Our tour guide was Liam and he was very kind, helpful and informative! I highly recommend this tour if you're looking for a fun physical activity to do or if you just want to try something out of your comfort zone. You get to see the clear water and some cool ocean life. Kayaking is a bit tiring but worth the experience.
