The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

We went on the Sea Cave Tour. Never got into the caves. After you're out there they tell you that the Life Guard Station has closed the caves because of the swell. They knew this before the tour and should have offered a refund for cancellation or a reduced rate! If you want to get out on the water, go on a sailing charter. We are local. We have been kayaking and sailing before. We went on this tour to go into the caves. I suppose if you're from the Midwest and never been out on the water this might be interesting, but to promote it as a Sea Cave Tour is borderling False Advertising! We do NOT recommend this tour.

Good experience, the weather helped a lot, in the tour there is not much to do, perhaps well for people who do not enter the sea much, if you are looking for something more intense, it is not, the guides are very knowledgeable about wildlife and the ecosystem in general, I do not remember well its name, I think it is Bryce, excellent attitude the nose, he was who imparted all the knowledge during the tour. As for the company, very organized, all the staff are very friendly, the equipment clean and sterilized, many congratulations

Fun trip with enthusiastic guides who knew a lot about the sea, the animals and the surroundings. We had a different representation of kayaking in the caves and that was a bit disappointing. (It's in paddling, taking pictures and back) If we could do it again, we would choose kayaking and snorkeling, then you can also enjoy the sand sharks, garibal dives, turtles and sea lions underwater.

Hey Leuke, Thank you so much for coming out on the water with us, and for taking the time to leave a review. This last week was absolutely beautiful on the water and people were seeing dolphin, sea lions, harbor seals and Garibaldi on almost every tour! I think most people were beyond stoked to be on the water on a perfect 75 plus degree weekend with sea life all over the place. We are also happy you got the experience of paddling into the only natural north-facing sea cave in all of California. Those caves were formed over tens of thousands of years by super massive waves carving out small sections of the 100ft sea cliff. Lots of people come out every year and don't get the same opportunity to enter the sea cave because of weather. We are sorry to hear this was a disappointment for you.
